Out of Hours Service

Cover is provided by the Lothian Unscheduled Care Service from 18:00 weekdays and 18:00 every Friday until 08:00 every Monday, the telephone number is 08454 24 24 24.  They may give you advice over the telephone or ask you to attend a local centre.  The doctor will visit patients who are unable to attend the centre.  The address of the contracting Health Board is, NHS Lothian Primary & Community Division, Astley Ainslie Hospital, 133 Grange Loan, EH9 2HL.

Test Results

All test results are managed by your GP.  Results can be accessed over the telephone, please call 0131 442 8700 after 1.30 pm.  You may be asked to prove your identity, as results will only be given to the patient concerned.  Alternatively you may attend the surgery for your results.

Emergency Contraception Service

If you require emergency contraception please contact our receptionist as soon as possible as this treatment must be administered within 72 hours.  Please ask for an emergency contraception appointment.  This will enable the receptionist to provide you with the most effective appointment.  This is also available through the out of hours service.
