Extended Hours

From 23rd June 2008 the practice extended the opening hours to include appointments from 0700 - 0800. All appointments are pre bookable by telephoning the Receptionist.

Ford's Road Care Home

We are the Lead GP Practice for the care home. We visit the home on a weekly basis and work closely with care home staff to provide an excellent standard of care.

New Patients

We are currently registering new patients. This is a quick and simple process. Patients are asked to provide a form of identity such as a passport or driving license along with proof of residency in the UK such as a utility bill. When all documentation has been provided to the practice, patients are able to make an appointment. Patient information booklets are available from the Receptionist or view a full range of services on this website.

Access to Services

GPs

Our GPs provide services Monday to Friday. Appointments are bookable in advance and on the same day. Patients may also request a telephone consultation each morning. The GP will call you back within 30 minutes.

Practice Nurses

Our Practice Nurses provide services in cervical screening, ear syringing, removal of sutures, travel vaccines, dressings, emergency contraception and minor injuries. They also run clinics for coronary heart disease, asthma,COPD, stroke, hypertension, hypothyroidism and epilepsy.

Nurse Practitioners

All appointments are bookable on the day of the appointment only. Patients should contact the practice as early in the day as possible as these appointments are very popular. Our Nurse Practitioners are able to prescribe a large number of medications. Patients may also request a consultation over the telephone each morning.

Healthcare Assistant

Our Healthcare Assistant provides services in blood sampling, faecal & urine sampling, blood pressure monitoring, amber drugs monitoring and clinics for hypertension management. This service is also available for housebound patients.

Home Visits

Home visits are available Monday to Friday 0800-1800. This service is available for housebound patients only. Patients should contact the Receptionist as early in the day as possible.

Minor Surgery

Patients should make an appointment to consult with Dr Tidman who specialises in Minor Surgery.
